Xiaomi Inc. is a start up company from China that designs and develops its own smartphones, tablets, and mobile apps. It is from China but keep in mind though that their products are top of the line and not some cheap, disposable Made in China products that are spreading like a wildfire everywhere specially here in the Philippines.

MI Phones with their latest flagship release the MI3 (MI4 is not yet available here in my place) is made very affordable but with great quality build and high end specs that matches or even "kills" the Samsung S4 and iPhone 4s at a very low price. On the Antutu Benchmark Score the MI3 (36188) outscores the Samsung S4 (26147) by a huge margin.

The MI3 runs on Android OS v4.3 (Jellybean) and is upgradeable to v4.4.2 (KitKat) with their custom UI the MIUI v4.5.9 (their latest version) that is based on the Android v4.4 (KitKat). The MI3 screen comes with a 5 inch IPS Retina Display with a Full HD 1080p display having a 1080 x 1920 resolution.

The downside is that you have to download the Google Play Store since it does not come with the phone's default but that is not really an issue for me though. There are a lot of things you can do with their custom MIUI you can tweak everything from font size to the lock screen to your liking. All in all you won't get a phone like this with it's price range.
